Dylan and I decided to celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary by taking a trip to Big Bend National Park. Texans, if you have not been here before, please go!! The majestic mountains, serene desert and lack of cell phone service creates such a peaceful and liberating experience. Being there brought back many wonderful memories from when I used to go with my family as a kid (I even saw the same friendly, leathery paleontologist that we met years ago – same beard and cowboy hat, too!). My favorite moments were just driving in the car with the windows rolled down, listening to western movie soundtracks and enjoying the incredible views :)
